willowappt is committed to making its website and application accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of their abilities or the technology they use.
Our approach
- We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.
- All interactive elements have a minimum touch target size of 44×44px — the application is designed to run on salon touchscreens.
- Colour contrast ratios meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA requirements throughout.
- Focus indicators are visible and distinct — using a 2px ring that meets contrast requirements.
- Form fields have associated labels. Error messages are descriptive and linked to their inputs.
- The application is navigable by keyboard.
- We use semantic HTML elements to support screen readers.
Known limitations
We are a small team and accessibility is an ongoing effort. The following areas are on our improvement roadmap:
- The calendar grid view may not be fully navigable by screen reader. We are working on an alternative list view for keyboard and screen reader users.
- Some complex interactive components (date pickers, drag interactions) may not yet have full ARIA support.
